Well since the Pool is closed for a month or so, Laura descided to swim the alderbrook lagoon! It was an amazingly hot day here and early afternoon high tide. Ani and I were in the Canoe and Tim was in the Kyak and Laura swam VERY far!!! she was in the water for about 45 minute or longer. It is hard to see, but Laura swam to the farther net shed or Barn out over the water and BACK!!! Then we all went out to the tressle and I, JON, Jumped in from the very top bar. Ani snapped the great shot. It is beautiful and sunny here. We hit the beach yesterday and Alderbrook lagoon today. The Alderbrook Lagoon is the body of water just infront of our house! I remember the lagoon well. Tim and I walked by it at the beginning of our adventure when I went into a forbidden zone, took a wrong turn, and had to be rescued by my loving and very patient/tolerant daughter. Anyway, nice to know you have a swimming hole so close to home.

It has been hot, hot, hot in the Gorge, but we are having thunder showers today and cool breezes. I sent Laura the form for the Columbia swim on September 1, so maybe there will be more swimming adventures to share soon!
