Halloween Girl style

Well as you can see, we missed the girls in their costumes... I, Jon, went tricker treating with the boys and the 3 vampire girls followed use. We all caught up on the second to last house. Ani has Naomi and Kjirsten spending the night in the crows nest with three PG 13 Horror movies... I put my foot down on the R rated horor movies...

Jon here: I administered the ACT standardized test this morning and then yard work and playing in the garage for the rest of the day. Laura swam with Taeryn this morning and is getting Thai take out right now. Ani is at a sleep over and Tim has Mateo coming over soon!

Yup! We voted for Obama!!! Also I spent a couple of hours tonight making phone calls for Jeff Merkley who is the D running against Gordon Smith for the US Senate. I was supprised how many people planned or had voted for Obama but did not know who they were voting for in this Senate race! Pretty exciting!!! I guess the only thing that can get me out of the red sox and financial doldrums is an Obama win in November!!! Crazy that we have voted already! Jon out.

Soccer Pics

Here are some pics from my soccer game today. We lost 4-3 because the ref was in about 4th grade and had some major issues! We would've tied if he hadn't given the other team a stupid penalty kick.

conquering (no, communing with) the bridge

Sorry no photos, while the children slept and/or watched cartoons Jon and I ran the 10k Great Columbia Crossing, which goes over the "big bridge" as we call it. Since my expectations of myself were pretty low (I was hoping to finish in an hour and fifteen) I was thrilled when we sprinted in at just under an hour - 59:57 I think - me and my personal trainer that is. The run was a bit slow for him and a bit fast for me, but I am feeling awesome now! Later I suppose I will crash.
Off to the soccer field...
