We are in Chicago!!! Went swimming in lake Michigan this morning and then walking around Hyde Park and saw a Frank Lloyd
Wright house and a great bookstore where Tim treated all to a book and then a great park with playing. now the women are off to pedicures and Tim and I and all 5 kids will go to a beach for the afternoon! Here are a few more pics...

Imagine that Lake Michigan would be clean enough to swim in! When I was the kids' age, my mother would not even let me go on a boat on Lake Erie because it was so polluted!
Chicago is an amazing city.

The camping equipment looks amazing compared to the pup tents that we used when I was in the Army in the mid 50's. In those days, everything was so much heavier. I would have been much more difficult to do then what you're doing on this trip.
